How to Make Vapable Marijuana For Liquid Vape

Make Your Own Liquid Pot At Home That Can Be Used With Your Vape Mod

Lots of people wonder if marijuana can be vaped in a liquid tincture form. Could THC be extracted from weed, turned into an eliquid and used in a vape mod? It is possible to vape dry weed. And yes, it is possible to create a weed tincture that can be vaped. It looks a lot like any other solution that would be in the vape tank. People always seem to assume it is nicotine. In marijuana-friendly states, some pot shops actually sell these ejuice tinctures. But it is possible to make your own marijuana THC ejuice tincture at home without an alcohol extraction (many states do not allow high proof alcohol…although, some people may want to check out our HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN MOONSHINE STILL AT HOME guide).

Incognito Vaping In Public: The Beauty of Liquid Marijuana

There are a lot of reasons for wanting to vape marijuana instead of smoke it. Combustion is way worse for human health (as far as most research knows so far, vaping is far healthier). Obviously lighters burn at 3000-4600 degrees Fahrenheit, and people smoking small pipes or joints are inhaling this heat. This lung damage is outrageous and the pain is exactly what causes the coughing. Coughing is one of the main reasons people suspect heavier smoke in public. Turning normal marijuana bud into a vape-capable liquid allows it to be inhaled through a vape mod vaporizer. These $150-500 vaporizers are complex, impressive, and have many buttons and features…including the ability to control the voltage and temperatures. This allows users to keep the temperatures at a steady 365-405 degrees Fahrenheit…a drastic difference that makes the lungs smile wide!

Another huge issue with smoking weed in public is the smell. Just about anyone over 15 years old can sniff out a lit joint. It is also commonly totted as a rather unpleasant scent. However, vaping marijuana ejuice is far less pungent. In fact, most people cannot smell it at all. However, the honest truth is, the stronger the juice, the greater a likelihood of the smell being detected. Still, it is FAR less detectable than an actual combusted marijuana bud. And it is still possible to make a near odorless batch, that still maintains its potency. It is even possible to give it a scent, maybe even something fruity!

Mr Hyde says… Because Marijuana is not legal everywhere, it is illadvised to travel with this tincture over your state lines, including in an airplane. Is Vaping Marijuana eLiquid Safe and Does it Actually Work?

Lots of people want to know if vaping liquid marijuana actually works. Can it truly be extracted in a high enough potency that the effects can be felt? Is it a pleasant experience vaping THC juice? How high can you get from vaping THC juice with a vape mod? And is it safe to vape liquid marijuana juice at all? All great questions. While research is limited, as vaping is still a relatively newer fad…anyone who has ever left smoking tobacco cigarettes for vaping will tell you they feel a thousand times better (almost instantly too). Same goes for heavy weed smokers who switch to vaping…when they actually make the leap and stick with it, they realize it is far healthier. Most people fear vaping weed because they feel it is weaker. The truth is, if the high is not being achieved, something is not being done properly: either the vaporizer is bunk or the weed is bunk, or the most usual scenario…not enough weed had been sacrificed for the buzz. Thus one of the biggest tips of making successful marijuana tincture for vaping:

Pro Tip: Pros advise that one never skimps out on the marijuana ingredient. If anything, more should be added. The more that is added, the stronger it will be. As they say "Don't wimp out, or you'll end up brewing a batch of bunk weed tincture and saying 'Man I'm never doing that again, last time I wasted an eighth of an ounce and it didn't do anything', but you'll fail to mention that the recipe calls for a quarter of an ounce!!" If one is too afraid to make the appropriate sacrifice for which the recipe calls, the resulting substance will be displeasing and subpar.

That said, it is possible to extract THC into an oil that can be vaped by a vape mod. And it can work, very well, producing extremely strong, THC-rich vape. However, one important fact to understand going into it: the vape juice that is commonly sold in vape stores is not made with typical vegetable cooking oil. But nonetheless, the process for extracting THC resulting in a vape-capable solution is similar to the nicotine extraction process, and that process is rather simple. It is also an easy process! And the preferred ingredients for extraction are known to be relatively safe.

There are two solution choices for extracting THC into something that can still be vaped by a vape mod (like a good Sigelei vaporizer). The first choice is using propylene glycol. Propylene glycol (PG) is in many things we use every day. In fact, PG can be found in ice cream, artificial sweeteners, sodas, medicines, donuts, and many many more. This will be an oil-like substance made from glycerin. The second, much safer solution (in the opinion of many people on the MOFO'n internet) is Vegetable Glycerin. Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is clear, and odorless. VG is also made from plant oils, most famously palm, soy or coconut oil (all of which are extremely good at absorbing THC for cooking with pot, so it makes sense that VG would be great for making the vaping juice best). VG is as close to natural as you can get when it comes to this sort of thing.

Caution: No matter what solution is selected for extraction, it's always a good idea to determine if any allergy exists before wasting perfectly good marijuana bud. To test, using a fork, gently "scratch" the surface of a soft tissue skin of which no hair is present and apply a small dab of PG or VG (whichever was chosen) to the scratch marks. After waiting a few minutes, any allergy will be extremely visible and easily distinguished by redness, rising or any other irritation.

How to Make Your Own THC eLiquid Vape Tincture

Good news, making it is the easiest part! Making a THC vaping liquid is best done with a PG or VG composition, as previously mentioned. Steering clear of alcohol in this recipe is critical in developing a strong, effective tincture that will actually be vapeable in just about any vape mod, with just about any tank and atomizer. The following recipe uses 1/8 of an ounce of fresh marijuana bud (medium to high quality preferred) and produces about 30-60 ml of THC vape solution; however, it can be easily scaled depending upon the required output, and it WILL be different each time depending upon how long the oil is left on the heat.

Ingredients for Making Your Own Marijuana Tincture:

  • (1) Mesh Net or Cheese Cloth
  • (1) Fork
  • (1) Measuring Device – size: 30-200 ml
  • (200) ml VG Solution
  • (1/8) oz Fresh, Ground Marijuana
  • (1) Cooking Pot (not a pan, pot provides the preferred heat distribution)
  • (1) 1-2 ml Syringe (never know how much will need to be measured at some points)
  • (1) 10-20 ml Syringe
  • (1) 60 ml Amber or Dark Colored Glass Storage Container with eye dropper
  • (1) Timer (capable of 15 and 30 minute intervals)
  • and also 3.5 hours are needed to complete this procedure.

Interesting Tip: There are other ways to include marijuana into the recipe without using up actual fresh bud. Stems and trimmings are extremely Trichome-rich. And already vaped remains (AVR) have already undergone minimal-temperature vaping, releasing all of the "stuff that is not wanted" in your vape solution, leaving a lot of good THC left! Pros save all of their vaped remains (this is the ground weed that is left over, brown in color after being vaped – if it is not completely black then there is still THC to be extracted). To substitute normal, fresh, ground weed for stems, trimmings and/or AVR, double or even triple the THC-laden contribution with only MARGINALLY increasing the PG/VG contributions (e.g. if one wanted to do this recipe, but with AVR, use 1/4 ounce of AVR and 320 ml of VG solution).

The Best THC eLiquid Recipe Without Using Alcohol (guide, how-to)

Step 1: Place the cooking pot on the direct center of the burner and pour the VG (or PG) solution into the pot. Add the marijuana contribution, being certain to evenly disseminate. The fork may come in handy for this. Forks make for better "cooking utensils" during this sort of operation, as it allows the finely ground marijuana to fall through the combing prongs…generating the most natural distribution during stirring.

Step 2: Set heat to "2" or "slightly higher than low, but no where near medium heat" and set the timer to 30 minutes.

Step 3: After the timer, attend the pot, gently stir with the fork to ensure all marijuana is evenly distributed throughout the oil. This is the first opportunity to assess the situation. The two aspects that are most important: (a) is there too much marijuana oversaturating the oil to the point the oil will all have to be squeezed out of the marijuana at the end [makes stronger tincture]; or (b) is there not enough marijuana to where most of the bottom of the pot can still be seen and the oil feels more like an ocean (which can be solved by either adding more pot or cooking for double the time intervals). Make any appropriate change by either contributing more oil or more marijuana (never add a lot, never over-react, commonly panic sets in during new routines in life because one fear's the outcome…but a recipe is a recipe for a reason: it can be relied upon). *Important: turn the heat to LOW – the lowest setting works totally fine from here!* Stir gently again and set the timer for 30 minutes.

Step 4: After the timer, attend the pot again, gently stir with the for and ensure the marijuana is evenly distributed throughout the oil. Again, if any adjustment has to be made, go ahead and make it; however, keep in mind that this adjustment should be SIGNIFICANTLY LESS impactful than any adjustment that would have been made in an earlier step, as the farther into the cooking process, the less time that remains on the heat for new contributions to properly blend with old contributions, and it can negatively affect the extraction process. Stir gently again and set the timer for 30 minutes.

Step 5: After the timer, attend the pot for a third time, gently stirring and assessing the situation. This is the last opportunity to make any contributions, as it is half way through the cook. Make any contributions, and keep in mind, they should be extremely minimal (as in, no more than a few ml of oil, or a few sprinkles of weed). Stir gently again, set the time for 30 minutes.

Step 6: After the timer, attend and gently stir the pot. Clean up any oil or weed ingredients which are lingering around, they will not be needed anymore. Stir a little more, being sure to evenly space the weed throughout the oil. The oil should be thinning out, and turning green or dark brown, depending upon the type of marijuana ingredients (it's still going to work either way if the marijuana used was any good). Set the timer for 30 minutes.

Step 7: After the timer, attend the pot, and gently stir, this solution is technically done, but there is still some control over the potency of the solution. Depending upon how strong of a solution one wants, this is optionally the last step. If a weaker THC liquid is desired, it can be pulled off the heat now and filtered with the mesh net (or cheesecloth) into the measuring device. And then MOVE TO STEP NINE; However, if one wished for a stronger solution and sees a lot of oil remaining compared to marijuana ingredient, or the liquid remaining seems a little lighter in color than expected, MOVE TO STEP EIGHT.

Step 8: For a stronger solution, more time may be required to "wear down" the oil, compounding the resulting liquid that remains, to however little is desired (some people, depending upon their vape mod and tank chamber size, prefer more liquid or less liquid of various quantities; and different vaporizers vape faster than others, different solutions vape differently as well). If no additional marijuana material seems to be needed, it is acceptable to move into 15 minute increments and continue the assessing/stirring process for up to an hour. It is still not recommended to add any additional marijuana material or oil to the mixture. Remember, cooking is an art, and one gets better with practice.

Step 9: No matter whether it was chosen to stop at Step 7 or Step 8, bottling the resulting THC juice is still the same: in the amber or dark colored glass eye dropper container. Using the appropriate syringe, collect the resulting liquid from the measuring device it was strained into, and dispense it into the storage bottle.

How to Vape THC eLiquid with your Vape Mod

Using marijuana juice with a vape mod is very easy. The juice gets loaded the same exact way. However, the settings are a little different than nicotine vape juices. THC vapes best at 365-405 degress Fahrenheit, which also works best with 3.2-4.6 voltage and room temperature resistance. These settings are all different depending upon which coils, atomizers, tanks, cottons, and vaporizer is being used. All setups are extremely different, but nearly all of them that allow the above mentioned settings, will work! One highly recommended vaporizer for THC juice made from VG or PG is the Sigelie brand.

THC vape juice is easy to store. It is wisest to keep it in a cool, dark place; hence the use of a dark colored glass jar or dropper. Sometimes, it's just best to buy a kit designed specifically to extract botanical plant material using VG solutions. This ensures everything is correct for the job: the VG solution (that it is made from the right oils and USP grade), syringes, and glass beakers; and ultimately reinforces the proper storage of the solution. It is senseless to go through all of this hard work only to spoil the resulting batch. Keep the THC juice in a drawer or other container that protects from sunlight. However, it can be frozen (only it takes time to thaw completely and it is always advised that any juice entering the vape tank be room temperature).
